Thank you to ROB SHUTTIE and JASON BRADER for this opportunity to talk about my Dad and our mission!
Thank you everyone who joined us for our Wescoe Community Fund Cocktails, Hors’duerves and Silent Auction!
Great cause…great fun!
What an incredible evening! Thank you so much to everyone who was at the Wescoe Community Fund cocktail, hors d’ouerves and silent auction. Also, thank you to everyone who was thinking of us on this very special night! There was a lot of laughing, sharing about my Dad and a few happy tears shed.
We were able to raise over $2,600 for our cause! Our mission to raise awaresness of Pulmonary Fibrosis and support our youth in our community is in full motion!
HELP US RAISE AWARENESS OF IDIOPATHIC PULUMONARY FIBROSIS!
The 2012 Ragnar Relay was a 2 day adventure that I will never forget! It was beautiful, challenging, enlightening and FUN! I was with 11 other amazing, athletic, strong, smart women, who are as motivated in life and their purpose (whatever it may be) as much as I am!
GO LAVA LADIES!
The race was a 199 mile relay race from Miami to Key West. I ran 3 legs: 1.) 8.7 miles; 2.) 7.8 miles and 3.) 4.1 miles (TOTAL 20.6 miles). The 1st two legs were definitely manageable. Especially, running at 1.30 am in the beautiful cool Florida morning. The moon and stars were beautiful! I was able, too, to blow out in PIXIE DUST
a runner in the last mile and felt like a million dollars. The 4.1 run was more difficult, in that, it was very hot!
As I was running, I often thought of my Dad and how much he had difficulty simply breathing because of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. I do this because:
WCF vision and my PASSION become that much clearer when I do these type of races! I look forward to an amazing 2012 and how we are going to impact so many people’s lives. I am blessed.

On Saturday, May 26, 2012, we will be celebrating our 6th Coopersburg 5K Run, Kids’ Fun Run and Health and Wellness Expo! Our race is a race for our community and a race that promote health and wellness among people of all ages!
