The Wescoe Community Fund (hereafter WCF) was founded by Jennifer Wescoe-Schaninger in memory of her father, Ron Wescoe, who passed away in 2004 from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. WCF has a Board of Directors, as follows:

• Jennifer Wescoe-Schaninger, M.Ed., NCC, President and Founder.: Jennifer has founded and organized many community fundraisers, including the Wescoe Walk; Coopersburg 5K Run, Kids’ Fun Run and Health and Wellness Expo, Tri-a-Biathlon Challenge and Tim Riggs Soccer Invitational (www.TimRiggsSoccerInvitational.org). She also continues to work on several fundraising committees and community organizations, including: Southern Lehigh Education Foundation (SLEF), Coopersburg Business Revitalization Program (CBRP).
• Dr. Gerard Peterson, Vice President, Pulmonologist at Lehigh Valley Hospital: Dr. Peterson was Mr. Wescoe’s physician and has become a close friend of the Wescoe family. He has a firm understanding of IPF from the medical perspective and from the perspective of his patients.
• Dr. Trish Colasurdo, Vice President, Owner Coopersburg Family Chiropractic: Dr. Colasurdo is a co-founder of the Tri-a-Biathlon Challenge and the Coopersburg 5K Health and Wellness Expo. She has also worked on many fundraising committees, including Southern Lehigh Education Foundation (SLEF) and Southern Lehigh Youth Wrestling (SLYW). In addition, she is the Head Coach of the Southern Lehigh Middle School cross country team.
• Dawn Wolford, Treasurer, Accountant: Dawn is an accountant with experience in public accounting working on multiple non-profit organizations. She also has extensive experience as a volunteer on the executive boards and committees of several community non-profit organizations, including the Lower Milford PTA, Southern Lehigh Youth Wrestling and Southern Lehigh Youth Football. Dawn has experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and fundraising for all of these organizations.
• Jennifer Fernandes, Secretary, Recruiter for Home Depot: Jennifer is a friend of the Wescoe family who knew Mr. Wescoe. Jennifer has experience doing fundraising for the American Heart Association. Jennifer is also a marathon runner and a coach for Girls on the Run.
• Dr. William Schaninger, Board Consultant.: Bill is the son-in-law of Mr. Wescoe and has extensive business consulting experience as a Principal at McKinsey & Co., the advisors and counselors to many of the most influential businesses in the world.
