HELP US RAISE AWARENESS OF IDIOPATHIC PULUMONARY FIBROSIS!
The 2012 Ragnar Relay was a 2 day adventure that I will never forget! It was beautiful, challenging, enlightening and FUN! I was with 11 other amazing, athletic, strong, smart women, who are as motivated in life and their purpose (whatever it may be) as much as I am!
GO LAVA LADIES!
The race was a 199 mile relay race from Miami to Key West. I ran 3 legs: 1.) 8.7 miles; 2.) 7.8 miles and 3.) 4.1 miles (TOTAL 20.6 miles). The 1st two legs were definitely manageable. Especially, running at 1.30 am in the beautiful cool Florida morning. The moon and stars were beautiful! I was able, too, to blow out in PIXIE DUST
a runner in the last mile and felt like a million dollars. The 4.1 run was more difficult, in that, it was very hot!
As I was running, I often thought of my Dad and how much he had difficulty simply breathing because of Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. I do this because:
- I breathe for him
- I run for him
- I am motivated by him
WCF vision and my PASSION become that much clearer when I do these type of races! I look forward to an amazing 2012 and how we are going to impact so many people’s lives. I am blessed.

1st leg: 8.7 miles
